The Jan Boland Coetzee pays homage to the founder of Vriesenhof and embodies a lifetime of his observation and wisdom accumulated amongst the vines.

The components are vinified separately, and the blend is assembled after 4 months.  Merlot (49%), Cabernet Sauvignon (28%) and Cabernet Franc (23%) all from Stellenbosch, The wine was matured in French oak barrels for 18 months.  A combination of 2^nd /3^rd and 4^th fill barrels were used.
