The Saldanha Wine & Spirit Co was established in 2023 by the Badenhorst Family, well known in the Swartland wine region. Their mission is to celebrate the forgotten heroes of the wine world, the Fortified and Sweet wines. South Africa has a strong tradition and history of producing these wines. We honour and celebrate with you the incomparable variety of styles through small and selected once-off bottlings.

It’s a style that involves biological and oxidative aging processes.
Made with Palomino and Verdelho grapes
Aged for 18 months under Flor (biological) and then further 10 years oxidatively without Flor.
Flor is killed by adding alcohol after the 18 months.
It’s a dry and complex style of sherry with a slightly higher alcohol content of 17%ABV
