Tembela Wines Chenin Blanc 2024

R310.00

Tembela Wines Chenin Blanc honors the heritage of Swartland. Grapes are sourced from meticulously cared-for bush vine vineyards, hand-harvested at the peak of freshness, and vinified using a combination of traditional and modern techniques. This dedication to quality ensures a Chenin Blanc that showcases the brilliance of the Swartland terroir.

Grapes from Bottelary. Fermented and matured for 10 months in older 500-litre barrels. The nose is subdued but not unbecoming with notes of peach, melon and just a touch of leesy complexity. There’s ample side-palate presence, the wine luscious but not overdone – acidity is moderate, the finish gently savoury. The winemaker speaks of it as “splashy” (relative to 2023) and that’s a nice description.

ANALYSIS: ALC 13% | RS 1.6 g/l | TA 5.4 g/l | pH 3.5
