The Iron Child Pinot Noir, for the Hemel en Aarde Ridge, shares a vineyard with some illustrious company. Crystallums Peter Max, and the the Stand Alone Pinot Noir from Salt Rock are esteemed neighbours of Chris Albrecht’s equally gorgeous and ethereal creation.

It jumps out of the glass with perfumed red cherry, fynbos, charcuterie, red tea, forest floor and wild flowers. The pallet is savoury, complex and flavoured with tart red cherry, herbes de Provence and fine dissolvable tannins. The wine spends 1 year in 15% new oak, which helps deliver a beautiful, classically structured Pinot Noir, with a wealth of character from some of South Africas best examples of cool-climate fruit.
