Chateau Malartic-Lagraviére Pessac-Léognan 2015


Homogeneity and perfect conditions are the defining characteristics of this vintage. The expression of the mosaic of Malartic terroirs is truly enhanced, with each plot revealing its unique personality. This rich palette of aromas has been enhanced through a gentle aging process, which further enhances the expression of exquisite complexity. Winemaking process with an emphasis on sustainable practices and high environmental value. The vinification takes place in small truncated wooden and stainless-steel vats with temperature control. The fermentation lasts approximately 30 days at a temperature ranging from 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. After fermentation, the wine undergoes traditional aging on fine lees in French oak barrels, with 80% of the barrels being new wood. The aging process lasts for 18 months.

Deep garnet-purple in color, it has notes of crushed black currants, fresh black berries and black raspberries with hints of tar, dried herbs and garrigue. The palate is medium-bodied, energetic and refreshing in the mouth with firm, grainy tannins and an uplifting finish.
