A combination of very low toast and very high toasted barrels custom-made for La Brune adding structure, length and flintiness to the profile.
This is a superstar vintage with a combination of power and elegance coming to Elgin. Higher temperatures in certain periods during December and January period high light intensity. The combination of high light intensity and cool – climate produced wines with big personalities and incredible Elgin elegance, finesse and length. Brioche nose. You feel you are walking into a French bakery ordering patisseries. Hint of fruit but more perfume and citrus skin. Core of the wine is minerality.
