Kweekkamp is a single vineyard in Robertson, located in a remote valley along the Breede River, thrives in volcanic soil enriched with limestone pockets. The grapes were picked in three separate phases to enhance the wine’s complexity. Ten percent of the wine was aged in ceramic clay vessels, while the remainder matured in French oak barrels, with no malolactic fermentation involved.

“The aromas expressed by this wine are those of lemon zest, lime blossom, white pear, and kiwi fruit. This Chardonnay exhibits endless freshness and lucid flintiness on the palate with a dimension of minerality and salinity to give depth and density to its character. Description

Best known for making the acclaimed Rupert & Rothchild Baroness Nadine Chardonnay, Yvonne was head winemaker here from 2012 till her departure in 2020. It was time to do her own thing, to follow her calling! When presenting her wine, her excitement of the vineyard is palpable, a unique place that she captures perfectly in this bottle of wine. The wine manages to be both riveting, mysterious and beautiful all at once.
