Vergelegen Florence Rosé 2023

A blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Grenache Noir made into a beautifully elegant rosé.

The Shiraz grapes were selected from Vergelegen’s own Rooiland vineyard and the Grenache Noir was sourced from Stellenboschkloof region. Grapes were hand-picked and the whole bunch pressed to limit colour and tannin extraction.

An elegant wine that almost reminds one of a fragrant spring garden. Fresh red berries and ruby grapefruit in a rose gold liquid. The palate is gentle and the finish fresh without being sharp. The perfect summer wine, for all outside lunches, braais and picnics. Serve well chilled at 8-10 °C

ANALYSIS: ALC 13.5% | RS 1.5 g/l | TA 6.3 g/l | pH 3.2

Named after Florence Phillips, who during her time as the lady of Vergelegen, restored the beautiful gardens, and was instrumental in the establishment of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden against Table Mountain. Pictured on the label is Camellias to celebrate one of only two International Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the Southern Hemisphere. One of them at Vergelegen, of course. A visit to this historic farm is truly delightful for any garden lover.
