Scions of Sinai ‘Krummelklip’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2025

R459.00

From a single vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon (100%)
W.O. Stellenbosch

Grown on open, porous topsoil, allowing the grape to ripen mid-February before the excessive heat of late summer or early autumn rain. Pure fruit expression of cassis and a hint of dusty earth, violets and black cherry. Slow fermentation and gentle pressing ensure persistent fruit weight and dry finish with abundant fruit tannin structure.

The 2025 vintage at Scions of Sinai has produced wines of elegance, clarity, and remarkable balance. Described by Bernhard Bredell as a “textbook” growing season, the year was shaped by generous winter rainfall followed by dry, windy conditions from November onwards — creating ideal conditions for slow, even ripening and exceptionally healthy fruit.
Bernhard remains a vigneron first and foremost, deeply focused on the long-term health of the vineyards and the honest expression of site. Having farmed these vines since 2016, his understanding of the Lower Helderberg’s granite soils and maritime climate continues to sharpen with each season. The 2025 wines capture that quiet confidence beautifully: refined yet energetic, with freshness, purity, and a sense of ease that feels distinctly true to both place and vintage.
