This Pinot Noir showcases a dark ruby red color. The nose is soft, seductive, and charming, with pleasant aromas of ripe red fruits that gradually unfold into slightly toasted notes. On the palate, it reveals a creamy and generous texture, accompanied by black fruity flavors that are both ripe and fresh, with delicate spiciness. The tannins are silky and well-integrated.
The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown on a 0.59-hectare plot, some of which were planted in 1997 in the Monopole Volnay Clos des Santenots. This terroir yields elegant wines with a fine bouquet and racy tannins. After handpicking and destemming, the grapes underwent an 18-day maceration in temperature-controlled open oak vats, with regular cap punch-downs during alcoholic fermentation. The wine underwent complete malolactic fermentation and was aged entirely in new oak barrels for 19 months, contributing to its complexity and structure.
