The story of Creation is as old as the hills – dating back to when Mother Nature created their lofty mountain slopes and undulating valleys, bestowing upon them exceptional wine growing conditions. At the same time the story is as young as the state-of-the-art winery and as vibrant as their inspired team who contribute their passion and expertise to create a unique and authentic, terroir-expressive experience.

The name ‘Creation’ is a tribute to the favourable winegrowing conditions on the farm. It also refers to the fact that they were the very first to establish virus-free vineyards on the farm. Last but not least, it reflects our undaunted spirit of renewal.

the Creation narrative is also one of many challenges faced and overcome, of sheer hard work and, in line with their evocative name, of constant innovation. When they harvested their first grapes in 2006, the quality was fantastic, especially that of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The cellar was completed in the same year with the tasting room following in November 2008.

Today, two decades after the first fledgling vine took root, Creation clearly lives up to its name. Creative thinking and trendsetting solutions have positioned it among the Top Ten of the World’s Best Vineyards and Number One in Africa
