R342.00
This wine has a rich, bright colour and an inviting aroma of flowers, lemongrass, fresh herbs, and a hint of blossom, with stone fruit underneath and a faint chalky note. On the palate, it feels full and smooth without being heavy, with ripe, sunwarmed fruit, a touch of creaminess, a slight saltiness and a silky texture. The oak aging adds depth and roundness in the background without being obvious. The finish is clean and lasting, with flavours of candied lemon and a hint of orange zest. This is a well crafted, modern Chenin Blanc that manages to feel both generous and restrained at the same time.
