Peter-Allan needs very little introduction as the winemaker of Crystallum wines, with his brother as partner.
This humble, tall man however, has been the leader of the team at Gabrielskloof outside Botrivier since 2014, and with his wife Nicolene, they are steering this ship into the new era with great success already.

To spend time with Peter-Allan and his wines, is a bit like going on a wine tour. Not only do they use grapes from all over the Cape for their range of wines, but PA also talks a lot about all the other winemakers he admire. He’s a true gentleman of the industry and always strives to lift others and spread the good word about wines and people.

“We strive to find a balance between using old-world methods and traditions while keeping in tune with the vineyards we source our fruit from. This philosophy is followed through in the cellar, where we nurture what comes off the vines rather than manipulating the fruit to fit a predetermined outcome.” -Peter-Allan Finlayson, Winemaker

This philosophy is carried through on all wines produced at the Gabrielskloof Cellar, including Crystallum and the Copper Pot wines of which he has now also become partner.
