After a hiatus from red wine production, Chris Alheit has returned in partnership with the Fogwell family. Their inaugural blended Syrah from Swartland and Polkadraai Hills is impressive. Fermented with 40% whole clusters, it offers granitic intensity, sage and tapenade aromas, and firm tannins. Refreshingly low in alcohol.
