Ignis hails from a northern slope in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Latin for fire, Ignis makes reference to the igneous rock, Granite. This basket pressed, native yeast fermented wine displays raspberry and wild strawberry notes with underlying subtle wood spice. A silky tannin structure compliments the opulent, primary fruit perfume. An elegant wine showing beautiful balance and length, a faithful depiction of the site’s lighter structured, decomposed Granite soils. Only 250 cases produced.
Storm Vrede Pinot Noir 2017 and Storm Ridge Pinot Noir 2017 is also available, although not individually featured here. Please contact us should you wish to order some of this too.
