Colmant Brut Reserve NV
SOPHISTICATED | FRESH | ELEGANT
Our signature blend, a true reflection of Colmant’s unique style.
Colmant Brut Reserve NV is a blend of Pinot Noir (52%) and Chardonnay (48%) grapes grown in Franschhoek, Robertson and Elgin. A portion of the base wine – just 10% – was fermented in French oak barrels. A further 20% of the blend comprises reserve wines from previous vintages. Each bottle matures a minimum of 30 months before it is released.
Colmant Blanc de Blanc NV
DELICATE | CRISP | SEDUCTIVE
Our crème de la crème, an elegant expression of distinctive excellence.
Colmant Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chardonnay off selected vineyards in Franschhoek, Elgin and Robertson. True to house style, a portion of the base wine (15%) was barrel fermented and 20% of the wine is specially selected from the previous year’s harvests. The wine undergoes its long 45 to 48 month maturation on the lees before final release. It can be enjoyed now but will develop beautifully over four to five years.
Colmant Brut Rose NV
ROMANTIC | GRACIOUS | HARMONIOUS
A tender touch to Colmant’s alluring blend.
While Chardonnay makes up 25% of the blend, Pinot Noir leads the dance with 75%. A portion (10%) of the Pinot Noir is macerated on the skins to give the Brut Rosé its colour and signature red berry aroma and flavour. The Chardonnay contributes vivacity, finesse and harmonious elegance. 15% of the base wine is barrel fermented and there is a 15% reserve wine portion blended in. Maturation time on lees is 24 months minimum.
Colmant Sec Reserve NV
LIVELY | GENEROUS | VIBRANT
Elegantly luscious yet still classic, this blend offers an exotic twist to the Colmant style.
Franschhoek, Robertson and Elgin fruit were used in the 52% Pinot Noir and 48% Chardonnay blend. A portion (10%) of the wine underwent fermentation in French oak barrels and 20% of reserve wine from previous vintages was blended in to enhance intensity and complexity. Maturation time on lees is 24 months minimum. The wine was then degorged with the addition of a generous liqueur de dosage which added a unique twist to the gentle aroma and flavour.
Colmant Sec Reserve NV is slightly off-dry with lingering flavours of ripe citrus and sun-sweetened apple generosity.
Made with impeccable precision and great passion, our Cap Classique wines are the perfect companions to join you in any of life’s celebrations.
