Carinus Chenin Blanc 2019

Dried apple skin and pear on the nose, followed by a hint of salinity, fynbos and potpourri. Also some granny Smith toffee apple on the palate – white peach and apple with some more salinity. A focused tension and beautiful balance between fruit and acidity.

Carinus is a collaboration between distantly-related Danie and Hugo Carinus, with acclaimed Lukas van Loggerenberg as their winemaker. Danie and Hugo grow their grapes in Devon Valley, Polkadraai and the Swartland and supply some of the leading wine producers with grapes.
