Black Oystercatcher White Pearl 2019

The White Pearl is a distinctive wine – full-bodied, yet crisp. It is a blend of an aged Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The Semillon is handpicked, fermented and aged in 100% French oak barrels, whilst the Sauvignon Blanc is selected from full ripe handpicked grapes.

A great food wine, it offers full rich flavours with ginger and kiwi.  There is a saltiness on the palate and then a tight dry finish.

Wine producer, Dirk Human, is the owner, winemaker and viticulturist of the Black Oystercatcher boutique wines.

The Human Family has farmed successfully on the Moddervlei farm, where the Black Oystercatcher winery is housed, for generations. Their love of the land and the natural environment are expressed in wines that reflect the distinctive soils and growing climate.

The Black Oystercatchers are coastal birds that pair for life and this philosophy of partnership extends to all that the Human family endeavour to unite: man and nature, food and wine, friends and family.

The farm is situated between the small towns of Elim, Bredasdorp and Agulhas, in the Overberg region in South Africa.
