The Badenhorst family farms, Kalmoesfontein and Jakkalsfontein, have no shortage of heritage vineyards, draped around the Paardeberg granite hillside. These different vineyards used to be bottle into individual wines, with name like Golden Slopes, Haut Granite, Klipkop, etc. Now all 7 of these beautiful old vineyards are brought together in a single Old Vine wine that speaks of the character of the slopes the Badenhorst Family calls home.

The AA Badenhorst Grensloos Chenin Blanc 2023 presents a medium straw yellow color. Sliced pears, honey, chamomile, and wildflowers create an aromatic intensity. It is full-bodied, creamy, and layered on the palate. Layers of beeswax, white flowers, and citrus are present. Stony concentration and leesy richness add depth. This wine is more than the sum of its parts. Grensloos was ranked #8 in the James Suckling Top 100 Wines of South Africa 2024.

Top critics have awarded this Chenin Blanc exceptional scores. Tim Atkin MW gave it 96/100 points. James Suckling rated it 95/100. This wine is built for longevity and will drink beautifully through 2035.
