SUMMARY:Swerwer with Jasper Wickens & Blacksmith Wines with Tremayne Smith
DESCRIPTION:Swerwer wines was established in 2012 by winemaker Jasper Wickens. We will be tasting a few of his incredible wines which involve minimal intervention in the cellar and are indeed a very pure reflection of wines from the Paardeberg in Swartland. His wines soar with expression and freedom which must feed through from the natural and unimposing way that he makes these beautiful wines. \nA master of his trade\, Tremayne Smith will be taking us through his Blacksmith wines. Originally a chef turned winemaker he has an intricate knowledge and understanding of flavour and balance. There is also a large focus on purity and respecting and honouring the sites that he sources his grapes from. These are pure\, expressive and interesting wines that aim to gratify and sometimes amuse. \nWe’ll have a jolly time tasting\, learning and enjoying freshly braaied burgers from 4 -7 pm.\nPlease do reserve a ticket to help us plan best for catering purposes\, but no need to be strict on your time.
