SUMMARY:Sipping Session - Jordan Wines
DESCRIPTION:The now 164 hectare property that we know of as Jordan Wine Estate was acquired in 1982 by Garry Jordan’s parents. This is where an extensive programme of replanting began\, specialising on planting classic varieties on specific soils and slopes. Gary’s background is in Geology\, Kathy’s in Economics and Industrial Psychology. After their initial qualifications\, Gary & Kathy both travelled overseas and studied Viticulture and Oenology to learn and develop skills that they would then bring back to Jordan to foster their ambitious joint vision. They built their cellar in 1992\, with their first vintage on the farm being a year later. \nSince then\, Jordan has come a long way and under the guardianship and guidance of Gary & Kathy is always working on something new\, while respecting and mastering the old.
