DESCRIPTION:Join us for two different producers’ wines this Saturday – Journey’s End Vineyards and Nativo Wines. \nJourney’s End Vineyards is nestled among the dramatically beautiful Schapenberg hills in South Africa’s Stellenbosch winelands. Their vines are grown on 350-million-year-old decomposed granite soils\, creating one of the most prestigious terroirs in South Africa.  Dynamic winemaker\, Mike Dawson\, uses progressive methods in the cellar and in the vineyards\, including a minimal intervention philosophy\, carbonic maceration and fermentation and ageing in amphorae and concrete eggs\, adding a complex layer to classically elegant wines. \nNativo Wines – After settling in South Africa in 1990\, Argentinian-born Billy Hughes was inspired to start his own wine venture in the Cape. After being self-educated in viticulture and winemaking\, in the year 2000 he and his late wife Penny bought an old wheat farm in Malmesbury\, near Cape Town. Unknown to them at the time\, this area – commonly known as The Swartland – would soon become one of the top wine-producing regions in the Western Cape. \n  \nWe’ll be sipping on: \nNativo Red 2017 \nNativo The Birds 2022 \nJourney’s End V1 Chardonnay 2022 \nJourney’s End V5 Cabernet Franc 2021
