Her aim is to capture the character of each site and the natural expression of the fruit\, rather than masking it with heavy winemaking. \nThis takes her to some of the Cape’s most distinctive vineyard sites. Cool\, maritime Firgrove brings structure and elegance\, while the old dryland bush vines of the Agter-Paarl bring depth and concentration. Further west\, the Atlantic influence of Groenekloof gives freshness and energy\, while the warmer vineyards of Wellington are well suited to expressive Grenache. \nThe result is a collection of wines that show just how varied South Africa’s vineyards can be.
