SUMMARY:Newton Johnson Pinot Noir Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The estate was started by Dave Johnson\, a Cape Wine Master and holder of a thesis on Pinot Noir\, and his wife Felicity (maiden name Newton). The family moved to the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in 1995\, built a cellar and started planting vines shortly thereafter. Dave’s passion for wine\, and Pinot Noir in particular\, was soaked up by his sons\, Bevan and Gordon. Bevan is largely responsible for spreading the word and making all wheels turn\, and Gordon and his wife\, Nadia\, runs the viticulture and vinification side of things. They have taken this family estate and its vineyards to new heights in exploring the nuances of each grape planted. \nWe are excited to host an evening focused on Pinot Noir with Bevan Newton Johnson.\nBevan will take us on a journey through the different wines and sharing the passion that is part of the DNA of this family. \nExpect to taste:\nAlbarino 2021\nFamily Vineyards Chardonnay 2020\nWalker Bay Pinot Noir 2021\nFamily Vineyards Pinot Noir 2019\nFamily Vineyards Pinot Noir 2020\nSeadragon Pinot Noir 2017\nWindandsea Pinot Noir 2020 \nThe wines will be presented in a tutored tasting format\, with snacks being served from 5:30pm and the tasting starting at 6pm. \nClick here to book your tickets
