DESCRIPTION:Matthew Van Heerden comes from a family of farmers\, which stimulated his interest in viticulture and winemaking. After 15 vintages of working with exceptional vineyard sites\, he fulfilled his goal to reflect SA’s unique vineyard sites in his own hand crafted signature wines. \nThis all came after a string of awards\, including IWSC best Chardonnay in the world in 2006\, IWSC Top 10 Winemakers in the World and in 2011 he was crowned SA’s Best Young Winemaker of the Year. Matthew was the first winemaker at well known farm\, Uva Mira\, and firmly put the farm on the map for exceptional wines including multiple awards for especially the Chardonnay.
