DESCRIPTION:Le Riche founder\, Etienne le Riche\, started his career in the mid-’70s and was soon recognised as one of South Africa’s best Cabernet Sauvignon producers. By 1982 he had created some of the most sought-after wines in the country and jointly founded the Cape Winemakers Guild. It was however his dream to have his own winery that led him to establish Le Riche in 1996. \nBy 2010 Etienne’s children\, Christo and Yvonne\, joined the team and soon after the opportunity came for them to move into their own property on the foot of Helderberg. Today the family team has grown even more with Christo now being cellarmaster\, and dad Etienne having the title of watching over the “youngsters” as they take the philosophy of creating the best Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch\, to new heights. \nJoin us as we get the first taste of the soon to be released Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2021. This marks the 25th vintage release\, and as such\, the family generously raided their private vinoteque to bring us bottles from three decades to celebrate this milestone. \nChardonnay 2022 to be enjoyed as a little welcome from 5:30pm with light snacks\, followed by a tutored tasting of: \nRichesse 2022\nCabernet Sauvignon 2022\, 2014 and 2004\nReserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021\, 2011 and 2001 \nIt doesn’t get much better than this.\nTickets are limited and booking in advance is essential. \nClick here to book.
