SUMMARY:Coming to grips with Piedmont with David Clarke
DESCRIPTION:Piedmont is located in the North-West of Italy\, stretching all the way from the Swizz Alps in the north and France to the West. It literally translates to “foot of the mountain”. \nBarolo is the most famous wine from the region\, made with Nebbiolo grapes. But there is so much more to the wines of Piedmont. Barbera\, Barbaresco and Dolcetto are all well-known\, yet often underestimated as the “lighter” siblings. And then there’s the sweet wines of Moscato d’Asti. There really is a wine for every meal and every occasion\, but first we must understand a bit more about each of these. \nDavid & Jeannette Clarke\, also known as Nebbiolo Nettie\, started importing a selection of Italian wines in 2022. There’s a strong love for the big tannin\, good acid wines made with Nebbiolo grapes. The selection has grown over the last 2 years and we are delighted to share a few of these with you as we explore and learn more about this iconic wine region of Italy. \nWines to be tasted: \n\n\n\nFennochio Barolo Bussia 2019\n R  1 430\,00\n\n\nRoagna Dolcetto 2022\n R      460\,00\n\n\nOddero Barbera d’Alba 2021\n R      525\,00\n\n\nFennochio Langhe Nebbiolo 2021\n R      480\,00\n\n\nMassolino Langhe Nebbiolo 2021\n R      530\,00\n\n\nOddero Langhe Nebbiolo 2021\n R      535\,00\n\n\nOddero Barolo Riserva Bussia 2017\n R  3 175\,00\n\n\nRoagna Barbaresco Gallina 2018\n R  2 595\,00\n\n\n\nPlease click here to purchase limited tickets.
